The Tatum dental legacy originated in 1918 when Dr. O.H. Tatum, Sr., began his practice. His two sons, Dr. Crawford A. Tatum, Sr. and Dr. O.H. Tatum Jr.; joined the practice in 1947 and 1960 respectively. While Dr. Crawford, Sr. served in the military post WWII, he gained valuable experience in reconstructive procedures. Dr. Crawford, Sr. and Dr. O.H., Jr. pioneered reconstructive procedures with dental implants.
Dr. Crawford Tatum, Jr. - In 1975, Dr. Crawford A. Tatum, Jr. joined the practice to continue development of dental implantology. Dr. Crawford, Jr. frequently lectures to numerous dental societies and presents continuing education seminars on implantology and oral reconstruction.
Dr. Timothy (Tim) Tatum - In 1979, Dr. Timothy H. Tatum joined the practice bringing advanced training in TMJ dysfunction and reconstructive dentistry.
The Tatum Dental Building at 614 Avenue A was originally built in 1870. Symbolic of the tradition and longevity of dentistry in the Tatum family, this sturdy historical edifice first housed the family dental practice in the 1920's. |
